Hi, I'm Nikki

I am a Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi Instructor helping women manage anxiety and overwhelm with this wonderful meditative movement practice.

I have been in the UK fitness industry since 1997, teaching many different classes, from step to aqua aerobics, pilates to body conditioning and loved every single one of them.

More recently my focus changed to taking a more preventative approach and looking after our mind, body and soul holistically.

Prevention is better than cure

I used to think meditation meant clearing your mind of every thought, which of course is impossible (especially with ADHD).  It is more about finding a focus for your mind, and when you become aware of your wondering thoughts - bringing them back to the chosen focus, whether that is your breath, your movement, a crystal or the clouds floating in the sky.

When I found Tai Chi for better health, and tried it for the first time I was amazed with how it made me feel, both in the moment and in the following hours and days.

I instantly knew it was for me, and what I had been looking for.  Although I had misjudged the intensity of moving slowly, it's harder than it looks.

I am so excited to share Shibashi with you

Research suggests Tai Chi and Qigong can help improve anxiety, stress and overall wellbeing

Many studies show the benefits come from three things combined:

  • slow controlled movement

  • breathing regulation

  • focused attention (meditative aspect)

I look forward to Monday evening for a little ME time

Having been only used to Yoga practice  I had not experienced any formal Tai Chi Qigong and was a little unsure if it would give me the same benefit.

I need not have worried, from the very first session Nikki put me and the whole class at ease. Her style of teaching is excellent, she ensures everyone is able to go at their own pace and ability. I look forward to Monday evening for a little me time.

My husband has also joined the group as a way of gentle exercise to help with knee joint pain.

Thank you Nikki you’re a star.
